Penn State’s Aerospace Engineering Graduate Program is ranked in the top 15 nationally by U.S. News & World Report. The department offers Master of Science (M.S.), Master of Engineering (M. Eng.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees.Since its establishment in 1943, graduates and faculty members of the Penn State Department of Aerospace Engineering have contributed to numerous programs of national importance. Through the collective efforts of its faculty, staff and students, the department is consistently recognized as one of the top twelve aerospace engineering departments in the nation, and it is the only aerospace engineering department in Pennsylvania. One in 25 holders of a B.S. degree in aerospace engineering in the U.S. earned it from Penn State.
