TOEFL
TOEFL iBT or IELTS is a required application material, there is no minimum TOEFL iBT or IELTS score required for admission to the Viterbi School. However, students who achieve a score of 90 or higher on the TOEFL iBT (including a minimum score of 20 in each section) OR a 6.5 on the IELTS (with a minimum score of 6 in each section) are exempt from additional language requirements if admitted to USC.
GRE
Valid GRE scores are dated within five years of the start of the intended application semester. The fall semester starts in August, and the spring semester starts in January.

Fee
A nonrefundable application fee is required for each program to which you apply. The application fee is $90 for all graduate programs, except those offered by the Marshall School of Business ($155) and the International Academy’s Pre-Master’s program ($175). We accept payments via Visa and MasterCard only. Please click here to check if you are eligible for the fee waiver.

Letters of Recommendation (3 required) from faculty members with direct knowledge of your research abilities- Recommenders included in the online application will be contacted by email. Your application may be submitted before letters of recommendations are received. The recommender module is separate.
Transcript
Submit hard copies of official Transcripts for all previous college and university coursework by mail. For faster processing, include your 10-digit USC ID with your transcripts.
