TOEFL Applicants whose native language is not English and who do not hold a post-secondary degree at the bachelor's level or higher from a regionally-accredited domestic college or university must demonstrate a sufficient level of English language proficiency by examination. The CBE Department accepts valid test scores from both the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam as demonstration of English language proficiency. Generally, successful candidates will have earned a total score of 92 or higher on the TOEFL iBT, 560 or higher on the TOEFL PBT, or 7.0 or higher on the IELTS exam. Please be aware that scores are evaluated not only on the basis of total scores but also with consideration for individual section scores. GRE The GRE General Test is required of all applicants seeking to enter the doctoral program as well as those applicants seeking to enter one of the MS programs with the intent to pursue studies on a full-time basis. Generally, successful candidates will have a combined verbal and quantitative score of 300 or higher and an analytical writing score of 3.5 or higher.
